Solar + battery storage
Use sunlight during the day and store energy for later. A properly designed backup-capable system can also support selected circuits when the grid goes down.
Concept diagram only. The final connections depend on the equipment and engineered design.
Who it may suit
Homes or businesses with suitable solar space that want to combine on-site generation with stored energy.
How the parts work together
- Panels generate DC electricity; an inverter converts it for compatible AC loads.
- A battery stores energy. Usable capacity and inverter output both matter when choosing what it can support.
- Backup controls safely separate supported loads from the utility during an outage, when the system is designed for that function.
What to plan for
Bring recent utility bills, a list of essential appliances, desired backup hours, and information about roof or ground space.
A little more clarity
Will it run my air conditioner?
Only if the design supports its running load and starting demand. Whole-home backup should never be assumed from battery capacity alone.
How long will the battery last?
Runtime depends on usable stored energy, actual loads, conversion losses and available solar charging. A site-specific estimate is needed.
